This rapidly growing industry is presenting countless opportunities for the next generation of professional patio installers, and with our state-of-the-art program, you can fast-track your way to a one-year traineeship. The program will allow you to become a professional patio installer with a Stratco Authorised Outback Dealer host company and obtain your own restricted contractor’s license, along with a Certificate ll in Construction – Steel Framing!
Program Outline
The program itself is structured in two major stages, the pre-traineeship program and the 1-year traineeship.
The pre-traineeship program is conducted at Carey Training, in Flinders Park, South Australia. Here you will cover all the basic knowledge and skills that will help formulate the foundations of your skillset, which will be further developed with a few days of patio builds. At the conclusion of the three-week program, you will be provided with two weeks of work experience with an Authorised Outback Dealer. Once successfully completed, you would be offered a 1-year traineeship with the host company!
After your induction by HIA Apprentices, you will work with your host company for 1-year full-time while being compensated by HIA, with benefits such as annual leave, sick leave, RDO’s and worker’s compensation. This program is not only of major benefit to you but also to your host company, to ensure a successful outcome from this program and for future employment.
